Joe is a Venture Partner of SHIELD involved in deal sourcing, due diligence, and investment evaluation, with a focus on artificial intelligence and enterprise software. He brings extensive entrepreneurial and investment experience to SHIELD's portfolio companies.
Joe is currently the co-founder and CEO of Radical Tempo, a Silicon Valley-based startup. He also serves as a venture partner at Entrepreneur First, co-chair of GBx, and a non-executive director of Cambridge University in America.
Previously, Joe held the distinguished position of His Majesty's Technology Envoy to the United States, becoming the first person to hold this British diplomatic post. His career also includes roles as a General Partner at Entrepreneur First and co-founder of Moonfruit.com, showcasing his expertise in both venture capital and entrepreneurship.
As an active angel investor, Joe has a proven track record of identifying and supporting promising technology ventures. His contributions to the technology sector were recognized in 2017 when he was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for Services to Technology Businesses.
