Elroy Air
Autonomy, Unmanned Aerial Systems
www.elroyair.com
Elroy Air is pioneering the future of air delivery with its autonomous aerial robots. The company’s mission is to expand the e-commerce revolution by enabling same-day shipping to every person on the planet in addition to providing a platform for disaster relief, humanitarian aid, and defense resupply missions.
Elroy Air’s flagship Chaparral vehicle is a vertical takeoff and landing aerial cargo platform that is capable of carrying up to 500 pounds of cargo over a 300-mile range. Powered by a hybrid-electric powertrain, Elroy’s Chaparral vehicle can land, deposit cargo, pick up another load and take-off again without any operator interaction. It’s creating a conveyor belt in the sky that will revolutionize the way products and supplies are delivered throughout the world. Elroy Air has partnered with organizations like NASA and the US Air Force to lay the groundwork for autonomous and remote-controlled delivery services for defense and civil applications.

The Mission
The next generation of logistics is autonomous aerial systems. Elroy Air, utilizing their Chaparral aerial platform, will revolutionize the way cargo navigates tough urban and rural landscapes to provide customers unprecedented value.
Progress
Elroy Air has built a successful prototype of its electric vertical takeoff and landing aerial platform and has attracted a lot of attention in the public and private sectors. It has secured more than $100 million in pre-orders through Letters of Intent with customers in logistics-intensive industries such as oil and gas and regional air cargo, and recently inked a contract with the US Air Force. Elroy Air has also created a partnership with EmbraerX for development and certification, and is working with NASA to develop protocols for safely integrating autonomous cargo aircraft into US airspace.
